Mom Time: Me Time
Updated: Sep 20, 2020

I would do almost anything for an extra hour or two during the day for some “me time.” Can we
say- Something Strange for Some Change? Sometimes it’s hard to make yourself a top priority without feeling guilty or when you have a seeminly endless to-do list of family and work obligations. Here are a few things that I have taught myself to do in the last 6 years:
GET UP EARLIER
This is a hard one, but give it a try. Once I started doing this, I never looked back. An extra hour or two where you can take a walk, check emails, shop online, have a cup of coffee or even take a shit in private will change your life!
USE YOUR SHOWER TIME
If you can, make this time truly yours! Wash your face twice, sing a song, get some of those fancy aroma therpy products and make a spa getaway.
MAXIMIZE YOUR COMMUTE
Moms who work outside of the home to Moms who are running errands, make this time count! Give yourself that Beyonce concert you’ve wanted to go to for years! Be loud, and have fun by your damn self!
If all else fails…..
SCHEDULE IT
You schedule everything else right? I see you with your post-its and calendars. Go ahead and pencil it in Queen! Even 5 minutes. It may seem silly, but this is how you will be able to remind yourself to give yourself some alone time.
