Skin Tight

Updated: Sep 20, 2020

I am a girl after a skincare product! After all, our skin is the body’s biggest organ. BUT as much as I love my multi-step skincare regimens, healthy skin also has a lot to do with personal lifestyle. I know, I know, I’m preaching to the choir, but we all need some reminders here and there. Here are a few things I do to keep my skin looking tight and Flawless- I think!

Drink Water

I have trained myself to wake up and drink a glass of water before I eat/drink anything else. I started this when I was pregnant with my daughter because I always felt so dehydrated when I woke up in the mornings. I’ve since learned all kinds of ways to boost my water experience. I’ll add fruit, flavoring or whatever Pinterest says is the new fad. Pinterest is life!

Pay attention to your diet

This step is super hard for me because I love pasta, sugar, and coffee. The list goes on and I refuse to deny myself. It’s just not realistic for me. So, as a tradeoff, I just try (using that lightly) to watch the amount I intake. My mom always says “it’s in the portion.”

Exfoliate

The process of exfoliating a few times a week has dramatically changed the tone and texture of my skin. Think “baby ass.” That is the softest skin known to man. I usually have a random exfoliate on deck that I make from kitchen ingredients.

§ Recipe: equal parts white/brown sugar and coconut oil. Add an essential oil if you want to et FANCY!

Wear SPF

Sunscreen is a big part of my life since I live in a hot climate, but I highly recommend wearing SPF year-round, no matter your race. And don’t forget places like your hands. Ladies we don’t want hands that have aged 10 years past our faces!

Sleep

My favorite item on this list, yet I can’t seem to quite get this one right. Apparently, our skins collagen is produced overnight. Trust me, a doctor somewhere said so.
